Although computing as a field has matured and provided numerous technologies that improve the lives of people everywhere, it is still a growing field that requires educators to up-to-date in the face of rapidly changing technology. Although it is highly desirable to create physical laboratories in which to practically train students, these physical laboratories are expensive. This paper thus presents a response to this problem by highlighting a virtualized infrastructure for laboratory exercises in computing topics. Although not perfect, the easily deployed and configurable approach presented here is promising for adoption as a learning tool at a wide range of institutions.
