Abstract

This work presents a Genetic Algorithm (GA) to solve a planning production problem in fertilizer manufacturing. It also addresses the complete specification of a GA, since the modeling of the problem and its respective constraints, passing through the choice of techniques for initialization and selection, setting the values of operators such as crossover and mutation, among other factors. It was found that in this case, the use of a GA as a technique of resolution led to a detailed analysis of the problem at hand, which could be examined in several contexts of an optimization scenario.
