Abstract

This paper extends the analytical redundancy techniques, well developed for linear systems, to FDI in non-linear dynamic systems modeled by polynomial differential algebraic equations. The residual evaluation form is developed for sensor, actuator and process component faults. Fault detectability and isolability conditions are given, and the design of robust structured residuals is addressed.
