Abstract

In this paper the interference process in an unslotted Aloha network using two power levels is used to obtain the throughput in a channel with power capture. In the model considered, each user randomly chooses a power level from a given set for each packet transmitted. It is shown that unslotted Aloha with power capture can achieve an ideal throughput of 0.26.
