Abstract

WiMAX has been concert a great role in current scenario since last one year. It has satisfied end user in all applications i.e voice, video and data. Still a lot of effort is required in radio resource application. We proposed the rate-adaptive algorithms based on second category which is more relevant to WiMAX systems. We assume that the base station has obtained perfect instantaneous channel state information for all subscribers. We propose linear approach, Active-Set optimization and Genetic Algorithm for Resource Allocation in downlink Mobile WiMAX networks. Objective of proposed algorithms is to optimize total throughput. Simulation results show that Genetic Algorithm and Active-Set algorithm performs better than previous methods in terms of higher capacities. The Radio Resource Allocation(RRA) is usually formulated as a constrained optimization problem, to either minimize the total transmit power with a constraint on the user data rate or maximize the total data rate with a constraint on total power. In this paper we have given proposal about optimum approach with RRA and location has been taken for observation is Surat, India.
