Abstract

We present a framework for modeling a three-stage tandem queueing production line without intermediate buffers between the stages, but with an unlimited waiting space in front of the first stage. Assuming general arrivals and exponentially distributed service times, we obtain analytic solutions of the model under saturation conditions.
