Abstract

This paper describes the requirements for software to create a sketch interface for Visual Basic form design using a digital whiteboard. Freehand sketching is the preferred first prototype method for most designers. A large interactive display surface provides an ideal environment for informal group design work. The completed design can be directly converted into a working Visual Basic form. This software is intended for student programmers; it is contended that providing an electronic design space will encourage them to focus on interface design as a separate and important part of program design.
