Abstract

Nowadays three percent of the world's population has some type of intellectual disability. This disability limits their life and the life of those around them. Technology can provide means to facilitate learning processes and stimulate cognitive capacities. The rapid evolution of technology has changed the way in which we can engage in interactive systems. These days we are witnessing how (MDE) Multi-Device Environments are fast becoming a part of everyday life in today's society. TraInAb (Training Intellectual Abilities) system is a collaborative and interactive game based on MDE scenarios aimed at achieving greater integration in society for intellectually disabled people by encouraging cognitive abilities such as memory, calculation and attention. The system provides a new style of interaction based on tangible and distributed user interfaces.
