Abstract

This paper describes SLIS, an Ada-based script language used in the simulations of Fokker's Test Centre. First an overview of the simulation development process, its goals and the resulting requirements for the command interface of simulation modules are presented. Then, the separation of a simulation's internal implementation from the external operator view is discussed. The architecture of SLIS and its interaction with simulation modules is described next. Finally, the script language itself is presented.
