Abstract

Methods of increasing program efficiency are presented on the basis of program simulating data reception phenomena coded in Pascal-Turbo and executed on an IBM PC using Intel 8086 μP under DOS 3.1. The results obtained show clearly that these methods are realy effective, reducing the average program execution time by roughly 35 times - i.e. form 105 to roughly 3 hours. Although, all the results were obtained using a particular high-level language and PC, the methods described are so versatile and general that they can be recommended for any high-level language and any PC.
