Abstract

Nowadays the appliance market is growing faster and faster. These computers are going to support in the near future new applications like high fidelity music player, video on demand, or video conference. In this context, real-time (due to multimedia applications) and autonomy are still main concerns for these embedded computers. To solve those problems, we introduce in this position paper a new approach based on the combination of real-time and power management in the scheduler of the operating system.
