Abstract

This paper describes the service platform systems integration approach adopted for number portability, and explains how this helped to ensure that the set of systems and operational processes which make up the PSTN/ISDN Platform work together seamlessly to deliver the number portability service. The paper then discusses how the service platform approach to systems integration is being used to expedite the successful delivery of other services on the PSTN/ISDN Platform.
