Abstract

The drive to deliver an increasingly diverse range of telecommunications products over an access network, designed originally for the delivery of telephony, has demanded, in recent years, the development and deployment of a range of copper, fibre and radio-based delivery solutions. This paper outlines the history and the current status of some of the key access delivery solutions that exist within BT‘s portfolio of access components today.
