Abstract

An approach to an interoperable object-oriented GIS-framework foratmospheric modeling (AtmoGIS), which can be used to implement integratedinformation systems, is presented. The consideration of user-workflows leadsto the specification of the projected system. Using an object-orientedapproach, the system is based on a spatio-temporal database managementsystem, a mesoscale model and an environment for scientific visualization.
