We present a relatively simple and flexible procedure for the construction of corner blends which are defined by the recursive method. First, a parametric, conic blending method for connecting two base surfaces with tangent-plane continuity is introduced, and then it is recursively employed to round N-sided holes. Since the proposed procedure does not limit the type of base surfaces to be special forms, it can be conveniently applied together with existing CAD/CAM systems. To demonstrate the effectiveness and flexibility of this approach, a series of examples are given.
