Abstract

In this paper, more complete analyses are proposed for the service performance of elevator group systems. Four kinds of performance indexes, such as time index, energy index, passenger information index, and tolerance index for uncertainties, are proposed to evaluate the elevator group service performance. Seven assignment variable factors which affect the elevator group assignment behavior and the elevator group service performance are further presented and analyzed. The proposed more complete evaluations and analyses for the elevator group service performance will be advantageous to design a generalized assignment system or supervisory control system for elevator group systems in the future.
