Abstract

The emergence in multiagent systems is studied from various perspectives. In this paper we first briefly present the formal framework of the basic type of emergence (also called combinatoric). It will be shown that in some cases time dimension in the functionality of multiagent systems can be reduced to the basic emergence. We focus on how evolutionary processes in multiagent systems influence their functionality primarily concerning the emergent phenomena.
