This paper deals with the visualization of complex objects on the WWW. In considering complex data our focus is in particular on temporal clinical information given at different levels of granularity or with indeterminacy. We propose some tools and graphic notations to visualize temporal data, according to two different modalities: the first one based on the time axis, displaying the absolute location of temporal data; the second one allowing the user to focus on different temporal relations among data. The designed and developed tools for visualizing temporal clinical data are part of a prototype, allowing a general practitioner to access on the WWW, from his ambulatory office or from home, clinical data related to his referred cardiological patients.
