An important realization driving the development of the semantic web is that people are interested in information in order to solve problems. Many researchers have considered techniques for turning information sources into a single database which can then be used for problem-solving tasks. We present a method for integrating problem-solving with information gathering and show that it achieves remarkable efficiency gains.
