Abstract

This chapter reviews data mining methods used in engineering. It addresses neural network, neural-fuzzy, neural-genetic, and rough set methods. The peculiarities of engineering data, as well as how these properties influence the data mining process, are described. Multiple real-world engineering applications of data mining are addressed.
