Abstract

Evolving trends in the economy have stimulated thinking about emerging organizational forms. This article introduces the notion that the computer science tenets of object-orientation (OO) can be used to design organizations. A case study of Amazon.com is used to illustrate the application of OO concepts to business strategy.
