Abstract

This paper describes a large-scale GASP simulation model of workload processing on computer systems. Utilizing the TRM simulator one can define a network of processes which comprise a software system and model its execution in a man-machine environment to derive data throughput times, man/machine utilization statistics, and queueing statistics. Trace, plot, and histogram features enhance the utility of the outputs for the modeler. Results of using this model to simulate the TES/EMPS system are presented and extensions for continued research are noted.
