Abstract

Issues related to the use of APL as an overall environment for operations research activities are discussed. The analysis is focused on the interface between the mathematical and computational environments provided by APL, and is based on experience gained during a three-year period. A simple interactive dynamic programming model is presented for illustrative purposes.
