In this paper, we present the principles and the use of a simulator for the SIRIS 8 demand paging subsystem (designing and debugging are being developed at the CII1 Manufacturer) which goals are: 1) to bring an aid to designers: indeed the first purpose of this simulator is the performance prediction and algorithm validation for the subsystem 2) to be used as a tool for experiments on dynamic optimization of performances in a demand paging operating system 3) to be used as a tool in approach to methodology concepts.
