This paper describes a simulation model developed as a tool for designing a logistics system that will be used to support the deployment of Sea Launched Cruise Missiles (SLCM). The SLCM deployment scenario is complicated by a number of independent factors that influence each other to create an enormous resource-management problem. A GPSS model was implemented to assist in evaluating alternative strategies for dealing with the problem.
