Abstract

This paper presents an educational system in collaborative argumentation. The system is designed to assist the learner while making statements, adducing reasons and inferring conclusions. There are many computer supported collaborative argumentation systems (CSCA) that have been presented. These systems differ in their goals, the underlying argumentation theories and the user interface. However, they always applied two representations in argumentation: simple graphs or tree, and second, simple logic programming. The drawback of these systems is that they are difficult to clearly present the arguments moves performed by the users. In this case, users are unable to forward further arguments if they don 'r realize their positions within argumentation process. This article proposes a system, which uses nodes and edges to represent the relations between arguments. The system, Automatic Facilitator (AF), facilitates clear presentation of argumentation and better interface environment for the user to articulate his/her arguments. Furthermore, the system provides intelligent coach advice to assist the user's reasoning.
