Abstract

Under the current condition of the VLSI technique, 8 X8switches used in MNs have the best performance/costratios. Based on Delta network, Baseline network andcurrent VLSI technique development level, this paper putsforward the idea of a new family of MNs using 8 X8switches which is called Super Recursive BaselineInterconnection Network (SRB), expounds its networktopological properties and routing techniques, makesperformance analysis in this network, and proves that ithas superior qualities in network pass rates, bandwidthsand performance/cost ratios, etc. Finally, this paper statesthat SRB is a family of Multistage InterconnectionNetwork simple in routing, superior in performance/costratio, and easy in expanding.
