Abstract

With the explosion of portable electronic devices, power efficient processors have become increasinglyimportant. In this paper we present a set of circuittechniques to implement a 32-bit low-power ARMprocessor, found commonly in embedded systems, using asix metal layer 0.18 µm TSMC process. Our methodologyis based on Clustered Voltage Scaling (CVS) and dual-Vthtechniques aiming to reduce both dynamic power andstatic power simultaneously.
