Abstract

The overall concept of this work is to describe the concepts of the use of probabilistic optimization algorithms in the conjunction with the finite element (FE) package providing the objective functions for arbitrary boundary and loading conditions. Two optimization problems are discussed in details: stacking sequence optimization and shape optimization. The presented examples show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
