Abstract

It is argued that personality testing and group dynamicprinciples could improve the success of developmentteams in developing systems by providing a mechanismfor repeatable and valid identification, rating andselection of stakeholders in the method engineeringprocess. The method presented, MEWSIC, aims toformalise the development of situational methods so thatthe link to quality assurance processes are retained.MEWSIC accounts for the number of stakeholders whohave a legitimate interest in the success of the project, butdistinguishes between those who provide input thatinforms the method engineering process, those who carryout this process and their team role types. An overview ofMEWSIC and a discussion in the need for personalitytesting and group dynamic measures is given.
