This paper presents a methodology and a tool tosupport test selection from regression test suites based onchange analysis in object-oriented designs. We assumethat designs are represented using the Unified ModelingLanguage (UML) and we propose a formal mappingbetween design changes and a classification of regressiontest cases, i.e., three categories: Reusable, Retestable,and Obsolete. We provide evidence of the feasibility of themethodology and its usefulness by using our prototypetool on an industrial case study.
