Abstract

This paper describes how a pattern based approach toknowledge management was applied in VerbundplanGmbH (VPL), Austria, as part of the recently finished ISTproject HyperKnowledge. The approach employed -Enterprise Knowledge Patterns - integrates participativeenterprise modelling and organisational patterns forknowledge capture and sharing. The approach wassupported by the RETH tool developed by Siemens Austria.The application of the approach has resulted in arepository of best business practices now available onVPL's intranet.
