Abstract

Nearly all adept business and personal decisions have become dependent on timely and accurate information about relevant topics. Much of this information is now available in electronic media, often produced in a quantity and at a speed that require undue efforts to analyse. Consequently, effective information management, in terms of personalised filtering and ubiquitous access, is becoming a highly valued service and commodity. In this paper we describe the applications of BT Exact's iPAF and mPAF systems, which provide automated information management services for enterprise workers. Their key benefits include enabling users to access personalised profiles, documents, news, people, schedules, and meetings both at the desktop and while on the move.
