Abstract

Software engineering projects normally have many differentproblems related to all phases of the project. In additionto technical problems, the projects normally suffer fromproblems caused by management practices and conflicts ofinterests. In the study reported in this article we concentratedon quality affecting problems in one software company. The experts of the studied organization agreed on 22such problems. Almost all of those problems were related tomanagement or human issues, only three had clearly technicalcauses. In this article we describe those problems andtheir symptoms, causes and effects.
