Abstract

This paper deals with the use of Artificial Intelligence Methods (AI) in the process of designing new molecules possessing desired physical, chemical and biological properties. This is an important and difficult problem in the chemical, material and pharmaceutical industries. The traditional methods involves a laborious and expensive trial-and-error procedure, but there is of a considerable importance the development of computer-assisted approaches towards the automation of molecular design.
