This paper describes a technique for constraining models based on mass-spring systems to avoid the "super-elasticity" phenomenon. It employs a velocity directional modification approach and pays special attention to the order of adjustment of the individual springs in the model. An algorithm for obtaining that order is outlined. Images, showing the results of applying this approach in two different scenarios are given at the end of the paper.
