This paper presents a validation model for theDynamic Source Routing (DSR) protocol. This model includesa formal specification of the protocol and a set of scenarios. The scenarios test the conformance of a given implementation tosome targeted system functionalities. The DSR protocol has beenspecified following the IETF draft [1]. The formal specificationhas been performed using the SDL language and the scenarioshave been generated from the specification using a method anda tool developed at INT [2]. The test generation method is basedon a set of test purposes that express specific system propertiesand is completely automated. In this paper, we also present theexperimentation results of the application of our tool to the DSRprotocol.
