Abstract

We show that link interferences in multihop wirelessnetworks make the problem of selecting a path satisfyingbandwidth requirements an NP-complete problem, even undersimpli.ed rules for bandwidth reservation. This is in sharpcontrast to path selection in wireline networks where efficientpolynomial algorithms exist. We also describe a distributedmechanism for the problem of slot allocation according tobandwidth reservation in a wireless slotted environment.
