This paper addresses the impacts of performanceon scheduling tasks in heterogeneous computingsystems. A heuristic, called the EnhancedCommunication-Aware Task Scheduling algorithm, isproposed to exploit the potential of parallelprocessing, allowing for system heterogeneity. Thispaper also shows that the scheduling performance isaffected by the heterogeneity of computational powerand that of communication mechanisms. Theexperimental results reveal the superiority of theproposed algorithm to those presented previously.
