In this paper, we propose a secure account-basedpayment protocol which is suitable for wireless networks. The proposed protocol employs symmetric-key operationswhich require lower computation at all engaging partiesthan existing payment protocols. The proposed protocolalso satisfies transaction security properties provided bypublic-key based payment protocols such as SET andiKP. The formal analysis illustrates that our protocolachieves the goals of payment protocols. Moreover, thecredit-card information is not required to be sent duringtransactions which results in a security enhancement ofthe system.
