Abstract

A routine is a temporal context sequence thatoccurs often. In routine learning, already recognizedcontexts are utilized in modeling the user behavior. The methodology is presented via a use casescenario. Data collected from various ubiquitoussensors are used in recognizing and definingcontexts, and association rules determine theroutines. The focus is on testing the suitability of theApriori algorithm for this application area. Severaluseful routines were derived from the user data, andthe results show that data mining can be utilized inpervasive computing.
