This paper describes the design process and solution for a voting system to be used in the 2004 Olympics. It focuses on the initial design ideas that were brainstormed, user testing, and the final design of the system. Taking into account the different cultural groups and technology literacy levels, we determined that the voting device should be "tangible". We developed several different prototypes and user tested them to determine which design would be most effective. The resulting design was then developed along with a feedback component which utilizes a jumbotron.
