In this paper I describe a genetic algorithm approach to the automated design of vibratory bowl part feeders. This genetic algorithm approach runs on a parallel computer and gives near-optimal designs in much less time than the previously reported optimal, brute-force search methods. In this paper I present results showing these better vibratory bowl feeder designs.
