The aim of the research is to investigate techniques thatsupport efficient service scheduling algorithms in aservice-oriented fault-tolerant real-time distributed system.Techniques we developed include deadline- basedreal-time scheduling, priority-based scheduling, andredundant resource allocation for fault-tolerance. Thesystem model and scheduling algorithms are designed, anda prototype is implemented to facilitate the investigationand experimentation.
