Abstract

We present a new system for interactively modelingand rendering non-photorealistic hairstyles. Thesystem is featured with a user-friendly sketch interfaceallowing a user generate his/her desired hairstylesimply by drawing a few free-form strokes. Hairstylesare modeled with a new polygon based techniquecalled cluster polygon, and can be renderedexpressively to obtain hair images similar to thosefound in cell animation and cartoons.
