Projector-camera systems provide tools for telepresence that enable novel experiences not possible with currently available schemes for remote interaction including video conferencing systems, virtual reality, and augmented reality systems. Projector-camera systems have the potential not only to allow remote individuals to view each other's environments but also to communicate in new ways by overlaying and embedding information and visualizations on real objects and surfaces in the remote environment, without requiring people in the remote environment to "wire" the space or wear special devices. We demonstrate some of this potential with an initial implementation.
