Abstract

Over the last two years we have been teaching web application development using Zope, an open-source, object-oriented content management system that has some advantages over other systems like CGI and Java servlets. The purpose of this paper is two-fold: (1) to introduce Zope to the CS Education community, and (2) to argue for using Zope in teaching web application development.
