Abstract

A good definition of what constitutes common sense is very difficult to arrive at. The connotation given to this word in this book seems to be:the vast body of knowledge all of us possess regarding entities like space, time, quantities, qualities, flows, chemicals, biological beings, goals, plans, needs, beliefs, intentions, actions, interpersonal relations etc., the complex interactions between them, and our innate ability to do different styles of subtle reasoning with these entities.
