Abstract

The area of Symbolic Mathematics has received a wide attention in the last years, with significant results in algorithms design, systems implementation and development of applications. Many of these results have a direct relation to mathematical education, either as new topics to be covered in mathematical curricula or as powerful methods and effective tools for teaching and learning.
