This paper describes how the financial rumors can frequently lead to the evolution of investor sentiment in the emerging e-commerce network. It is essential for investors to acquire a better understanding of the financial rumors that give rise to investor sentiment and the most effective strategies for dealing with them. We propose and test a conceptual model that considers financial rumors and how it relates to investor sentiment in the emerging e-commerce network. An experiment that included 216 subjects within an emerging e-commerce market was conducted using data from reviewing. With AMOS4.0, a structural equation modeling approach is used to investigate our hypotheses. Results provide evidence on how financial rumors influences positively investor sentiment in the emerging e-commerce network.
